Mataram Police, Military, and Municipal Forces Conduct High-Scale Joint Patrol to Secure Regional Stability
MATARAM — Cross-institutional collaboration to maintain public order and security (Kamtibmas) across Mataram City was further reinforced on Saturday evening (Nov 7) through a high-scale joint patrol conducted under the Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD) framework.
The joint security operation was spearheaded by Mataram Assistant Police Chief (Wakapolresta) AKBP I Wayan Sudarmantha, mobilizing personnel from the Mataram City Police (Polresta Mataram), the 1606/Mataram Military District Command (Kodim 1606/Mataram), the Mataram Transportation Agency (Dishub), and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP).
The combined forces swept several strategic urban corridors—targeting congestion-prone nodes and high-risk zones for street crime—to preemptively neutralize security disruptions and ensure unhindered public activity.

Direct Command Oversight by NTB Police Chief
The operation received direct supervisory oversight from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police Chief, Inspector General (Irjen Pol.) Kalingga Rendra Raharja, who conducted unannounced spot checks (sidak) across multiple active patrol points accompanied by key regional commanders.
Mataram Assistant Police Chief AKBP I Wayan Sudarmantha highlighted that the presence of the Regional Police Chief served as a vital institutional endorsement and direct performance appraisal for field personnel.
”The presence of the NTB Police Chief during this KRYD exercise not only verifies local security conditions but also functions as direct oversight and leadership guidance regarding personnel performance in maintaining public order,” Sudarmantha noted.
Sudarmantha added that the high-scale routine patrols demonstrate the unified commitment between municipal authorities, law enforcement, and military leadership to safeguard economic and social activities throughout Mataram City.
