Hidden Gem: Nambung Beach’s Unique Salt Waterfall

The breathtaking view of the untouched white sandy beach highlights this area. Nambung Beach lies along the same coastline as Kuta Beach, Mawun Beach, and Selong Belanak Beach in Central Lombok.

Lombok Island in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has other hidden gems besides Senggigi Beach. The western coastal region of Lombok is home to some truly unique natural attractions perfect for travelers looking to unwind and recharge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Among these hidden gems, Nambung Beach stands out with its enchanting saltwater waterfall in Tanjung Jagog, which is quickly becoming a favorite spot for international and local tourists.

At Nambung Beach, visitors will be spoiled by magnificent waves crashing down and seawater cascading down a rocky cliff that stands 10 meters high. This natural waterfall, created by a unique combination of coral and rock, is stunning. This salty waterfall flow beautifully resembles the stunning Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfalls in Central Lombok.

Nambung Beach is a beautiful spot on the southern part of Lombok Island, right by the magnificent Indian Ocean, which is known for its vast and rolling waves. It sits in Pengantap Hamlet, within Buwun Mas Village in the Sekotong Subdistrict, West Lombok.

Thanks to its unique features, some areas along the coastline have become favorite surfing destinations. However, they might not be safe for swimming or snorkeling, particularly for families with children. The charming shape of Nambung Beach, resembling a bay, often attracts fishermen from outside Lombok, all eager to try their luck at catching fish. The waters around Nambung are inhabited by a diverse array of larger fish species, including snapper, grouper, mackerel, and reef fish.

Tourists will be amazed by the breathtaking view of the white sandy beach that unfolds beautifully. Nambung Beach shares its beautiful coastline with Kuta Beach, Mawun Beach, and Selong Belanak Beach in Central Lombok. At Nambung Beach, tourists can enjoy breathtaking sights of the crystal-clear ocean and the magnificent mountains of Lombok Island.

The Nambung Beach area is also a famous center for seaweed cultivation. The seaweed farmers’ activities and the stunning stretches of seaweed on the sea’s surface offer a captivating view for visitors.
