LHOKSEUMAWE, GETNEWS. — Strengthening the national disaster response, Bakamla RI’s KN. Pulau Dana-323 has successfully docked at Lhokseumawe Port, Aceh, carrying 92.2 tons of essential aid for communities devastated by floods and landslides. The mission, commanded by Lt. Col. Bakamla Umar Dhani, represents the second wave of maritime relief following the initial 70-ton deployment by KN. Pulau Nipah-321.

A Critical Lifeline for North Aceh
The arrival was welcomed by the Regent of North Aceh, H. Ismail A. Jalil, who emphasized the severity of the crisis. With 25 out of 27 districts in North Aceh currently battling the aftermath of floods and landslides, the Bakamla intervention provides a critical lifeline for displaced residents. “This aid is precisely what our people need right now,” Ismail stated during the welcoming ceremony.
Collaborative Strength: From Batam to Aceh
Lt. Col. Umar Dhani highlighted that the cargo is a result of a massive collaborative effort involving Bakamla personnel, the people of Batam, and residents of the Riau Islands. The vessel departed from Macgobar Pier in Batam on December 18, navigating through the Malacca Strait to ensure the timely delivery of these strategic supplies.
