Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) Irene Umar attended a concert celebrating Andien’s 25th anniversary. She stated that the music subsector is a strategic force in accelerating the creative economy as the new engine of growth.
“Music is a bridge for collaboration. On stages like this, we see the intersection of talent, technology, and creativity across disciplines, generating economic value. This demonstrates that music is not just entertainment, but a strategic force that strengthens Indonesia’s position on the global stage,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
The concert, titled Suarasmara – 25 Years of Musical Celebration, will be held on November 15, 2025, at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that large-scale concerts are an important indicator of the resilience of Indonesia’s creative ecosystem.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene assessed how the production chain, from musical works, stage design, artistic direction, fashion, performance technology, to intellectual management, displays a creative value chain that is interconnected and continues to grow.
The Suarasmara concert featured four acts that summarized Andien’s journey over two and a half decades, enriched by new arrangements and collaborations from creators across generations. The response from thousands of spectators demonstrated the growing public trust in local music, a key element in expanding the market for the national music industry.
In one segment of her performance, Andien shared reflections on the meaning of the creative journey she built with her supporters.
“This isn’t just about music. This is a shared space—a space where we connect, appreciate each other, and celebrate the journey we’ve built together,” Andien said, greeted by thunderous applause.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that the success of performances like this one serves as a concrete example of how music can simultaneously drive economic, social, and cultural values. She also emphasized the importance of strengthening hexahelix collaboration between the government, industry players, communities, academics, the media, and international partners as a foundation for enhancing Indonesia’s global competitiveness.
“This is the creative ecosystem we want to build: strong, collaborative, and sustainable. Through collaboration and capacity building of creative actors, we are opening up greater opportunities for Indonesian talent to advance and penetrate the international market,” stated Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.
In an effort to accelerate the growth of the music sector, the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to strengthen various strategic initiatives, ranging from improving the competence of creative actors, strengthening the supply chain, to cross-sector collaboration and global partnerships as part of the strategy towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
