MATARAM — Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is scheduled to visit Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on September 5–6, 2026. The visit is conducted in her capacity as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
NTB Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal stated that the diplomatic visit will go beyond mere formal ceremonies or tourism promotion. Drawing on his diplomatic background, Iqbal has arranged direct engagements between Crown Princess Victoria and various local community leaders.
During the visit, Crown Princess Victoria is scheduled to meet directly with women community leaders, Posyandu health workers, indigenous figures preserving environmental wisdom, local MSME actors, and coastal communities in Lombok.
This initiative is positioned as a concrete step under the “NTB Mendunia” (NTB Goes Global) vision, aiming to bring local community-based development narratives and experiences into global conversations on sustainable development.
