CENTRAL LOMBOK — The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 at the Mandalika Circuit is not only bringing world-class racing action to Lombok, but also generating tangible economic opportunities for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the Mandalika Street Food Festival (MSFF) Vol. 2.
Organized by PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), also known as InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the festival runs from October 9–10, 2026, at the Bazaar Mandalika area in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Featuring a tropical, community-based tourism concept, the event aims to attract over 15,000 domestic and international visitors. Operating daily from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM WITA, the festival showcases 20 culinary MSME tenants serving regional specialties such as Suranadi sate bulayak, Narmada sate merah, nasi balap Puyung, serabi, and traditional snacks.
In addition to culinary delights, visitors can enjoy beverages from 10 coffee and drink vendors, including Esda Coffee, Oryz Coffee, Ruon Matcha, Kissa Coffee, and Blau Fabrika. The festival also highlights 10 Lombok Eco Market tenants offering creative economy products, handicrafts, and local lifestyle goods.
Acting President Director of ITDC, Ahmad Fajar, stated that the Mandalika Street Food Festival is part of ongoing efforts to broaden the economic benefits of international events hosted within The Mandalika precinct.
”Through the Mandalika Street Food Festival Vol. 2, we aim to provide a dedicated space for local MSMEs, creative economy players, and community groups to grow alongside The Mandalika’s tourism ecosystem,” said Ahmad Fajar. He added that tourism development must deliver direct benefits to local communities rather than focusing solely on major sporting spectacles.
The festival also features an array of community-led activations involving Samalas Custom Show, Poundpose Lombok, Arti Drawing, Board Game groups, Lombok Eco Market, and Pesta Timur. Attendees can participate in interactive games, watch live painting and face painting sessions, enjoy acoustic, DJ, and reggae music performances, and join public viewing broadcasts (nobar) of the MotoGP races.
The initiative is supported by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), which provides digital payment solutions, interactive booth activations, and promotional programs via its BRImo mobile application. Trilaksito Singgih, Senior Executive Vice President of Transaction & Retail Funding at BRI, highlighted that the collaboration aims to introduce seamless digital banking services while encouraging tourists to engage deeply with Lombok’s rich culinary and creative offerings.
The Mandalika Street Food Festival Vol. 2 reinforces The Mandalika’s positioning as a premier sport and entertainment destination that delivers long-term economic empowerment for the people of Central Lombok.
